“Apple launches AppleCare One in UK, covering multiple devices”

Published:

Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, expanding from its US launch. This subscription service offers coverage for up to three devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, at a monthly cost of £16.99. If a device is damaged, lost, or stolen, Apple will repair it or provide up to three replacements per year, depending on the claim type.

AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ by allowing customers to protect multiple devices under one plan, potentially leading to cost savings. For instance, covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch under AppleCare One could save customers up to £11.48 per month compared to individual plans.

One key benefit of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old, as long as they are in good condition. This extended window for coverage surpasses the typical 60-day period for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.

The subscription also streamlines the upgrade process. When a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple, the old device is automatically removed from the plan, and the new device is seamlessly added without additional steps.

Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, emphasized that AppleCare One simplifies and enhances the protection of eligible products with a single plan and price, providing customers in the UK with peace of mind and flexibility.
