“Beauty Brand Malin + Goetz Enters Administration, Closes UK Stores”

Published:

Malin + Goetz, a popular beauty brand, has faced financial difficulties and entered administration, resulting in the closure of all seven of its stores in the UK.

The impacted stores are located in various areas of London, including Seven Dials, Soho, Spitalfields, Islington, Canary Wharf, Battersea Power Station, and Borough Yards, affecting over 70 jobs.

During this period, online orders for Malin + Goetz products have been temporarily suspended, with a message on their website informing customers of this situation and assuring a return to normal operations soon.

Despite the closure of their physical stores, customers can still purchase Malin + Goetz products from third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK.

The company spokesperson expressed regret over the impact of this decision on employees and customers, acknowledging the necessity of the closures due to the challenging circumstances faced by the business.

While the website is expected to resume operations after a maintenance period, the exact duration remains uncertain. Founded in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, Malin + Goetz initially offered a small range of skincare products for all skin types and has since expanded into various beauty categories.
