Following the tragic incident at a Swiss New Year’s Eve bar fire, my spouse and I held a serious conversation with our teenage children. By the end of Sunday, all 40 individuals affected by the fire at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana had been identified. The victims, aged between 14 and 39, included 15 minors. Additionally, 119 others sustained injuries in the shocking event that unfolded at the mountain resort.
Many of the survivors are currently receiving treatment for severe burns, with some facing extensive injuries making identification challenging.
