Scheduled to kick off in New York City on December 7, the performances are slated to run until November 21, 2027, offering fans an extended opportunity to experience the magic of Dolly’s story on stage. Parton expressed her excitement, calling the musical a lifelong dream as she approaches her seventh decade in the music industry. With an impressive repertoire of over 3,000 songs and more than 100 million albums sold globally, Dolly Parton’s legacy as a music icon is unquestionable, with inductions into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The musical originally premiered in Nashville last summer to a sold-out audience at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, receiving overwhelming praise from director Bartlett Sher for its ability to deeply resonate with viewers and evoke feelings of joy and inspiration associated with Dolly’s enduring influence.
