“Glitch Disrupts Sky Users’ ITVX Viewing Experience”

Published:

Some Sky customers are encountering a frustrating glitch with the popular ITVX app. Reports of this issue emerged last week, with users expressing dissatisfaction over episodes randomly skipping to the end, disrupting their viewing experience. Viewers have complained about being abruptly taken to the credits without using the fast-forward feature on their remotes.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky shared their experience, stating that ITV Player frequently jumps to the end of episodes, causing inconvenience for the past few days. Another user, Dawn, also reported similar issues with ITVX, mentioning episodes jumping to the end unexpectedly, typically occurring at the start or after ad breaks.

The technical hiccups seem to affect individuals using Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains uncertain whether Sky Q is impacted, most complaints originate from users with broadband-powered gadgets rather than traditional satellite dishes.

Although the root cause of the problem is unknown, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that they are actively working on a solution. Kev mentioned on the forum that the problem has been escalated to support teams, who will collaborate with ITV to address the issue. Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, users may have to tolerate the skipping episodes, anticipating a resolution in the near future. Mirror Online will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
