A village in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region was struck by a Russian missile attack, resulting in the deaths of 10 individuals, as confirmed by Ukrainian authorities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, describing it as brutal and targeted at a busy intersection in Pechenihy, Kharkiv. The assault left 17 others injured, according to Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the region.
Visual evidence shared by Zelenskyy depicted the aftermath of the attack, showing a destroyed building, cars engulfed in flames, and emergency responders aiding the wounded. The strike caused significant damage to 10 private buildings, a café, a post office, a store, and several vehicles.
Amidst these events, Ukraine launched a large-scale drone offensive on Moscow and its surroundings, deploying 620 drones. Russian forces reportedly downed 180 drones over the Moscow region. The targeted areas included a warehouse belonging to the Russian e-commerce company, Wildberries. The attacks led to injuries, including a 10-year-old girl, with power outages reported in various regions.
On another front, Russia issued a warning to Britain regarding its alleged supply of drones to Ukraine for cross-border attacks. The Russian embassy in London cautioned of consequences for such actions, emphasizing the potential escalation of the conflict. Despite these developments, Britain reaffirmed its support for Ukraine, offering equipment and assistance in defense against the ongoing conflict with Russia.
