“Russia Strikes Kyiv: 16 Injured, 131 Aerial Targets Neutralized”

A series of missile and drone attacks by Russia on Ukraine’s capital and surrounding areas caused injuries to at least 16 individuals overnight and into Thursday morning, as confirmed by local authorities. The Kyiv City Military Administration disclosed that the assaults occurred at over 10 different locations, resulting in injuries to a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported neutralizing or disabling 131 Russian aerial targets during the nocturnal offensive, primarily focused on the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa regions. The attacks struck 36 locations, with debris from intercepted targets falling in five areas. The assault utilized ballistic and cruise missiles, along with 157 drones and decoys.

The Russian Defence Ministry stated that military actions targeted metallurgical and electronics plants, military-industrial complex factories, energy facilities, and transportation infrastructure in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa. In Odesa, seven individuals, including two children, sustained injuries, with residential buildings and other structures damaged.

In Kyiv’s Dniprovsky district, warehouses, office buildings, and residential structures were affected, while similar damage occurred in the Solomyansky and Darnitsky districts. The Kyiv region also witnessed attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure in districts like Obukhiv, Brovary, Fastiv, and Bucha, resulting in damage to multiple sites, including private residences, warehouses, and vehicles.

Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Administration, reported a total of 33 damaged sites, with the most severe impact observed in Brovary and Fastiv districts. The damaged locations encompassed private homes, production facilities, and vehicles, with no reported casualties.
