Virgin Media TV users will now have access to two new free channels, Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), just in time for the festive season TV marathons. The music-focused FAST channels feature a variety of content such as world premieres, concerts, films, and artist interviews, broadcasting round the clock for viewers’ convenience.
Stingray Classica (Ch296) is dedicated to classical music, opera, and ballet, offering a range of content suitable for both classical music enthusiasts and newcomers to the genre. The channel showcases 50 world premieres annually, recorded at prestigious concert halls, festivals, and opera houses, along with high-quality documentaries, exclusive classical music programs, and weekly premieres.
On the other hand, Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297) provides customers with jazz concerts, films, portraits, and documentaries from different venues and festivals. The channel also features artist profiles, interviews, and backstage reports for a well-rounded music experience.
These new music channels join Virgin’s existing lineup of 32 FAST channels, including offerings like British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV. Viewers can access these channels through Virgin’s set-top boxes via the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) as part of the company’s expanding FAST channel selection.
