Bargain expert Jordon Cox has shared a clever trick to uncover the expiration date of deals at Tesco using a “secret code.” Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon frequently imparts money-saving advice on social media platforms.
In a recent video, he highlighted that products on Clubcard Price promotion feature a six-digit number that discloses the offer’s end date. By decoding the number in reverse and grouping it into twos, the last two digits represent the day, the middle two signify the month, and the first two indicate the year.
Jordon emphasized the importance of utilizing this code to track when deals end, enabling shoppers to plan their purchases accordingly and save money on their shopping trips. This tip coincides with Tesco’s current campaign urging customers to redeem Clubcard vouchers amounting to £16.5 million before the November 30 deadline.
Tesco awards Clubcard points for various purchases, such as £1 spent on groceries in-store or online, every two liters of fuel bought at Tesco petrol stations, every £1 spent on Tesco Mobile, and every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card. Moreover, using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card also earns points, with a minimum of 150 points required to obtain a £1.50 Clubcard voucher redeemable at Tesco. Presently, more than 24 million UK households hold a Tesco Clubcard.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, emphasized the value of utilizing Clubcard vouchers, highlighting the significant rewards that can be obtained through the Clubcard Rewards program. She encouraged customers to check the Tesco app for expiring vouchers to make the most of the offers available.
