“Ukraine Special Forces Strike Blow on Putin’s Finances”

Published:

Ukraine’s elite “Deep Strike” special forces unit delivered a significant blow to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s financial resources by destroying one of Russia’s largest oil refineries. The covert force targeted the Volgorod Oil Refinery, a key energy plant operated by Lukoil, causing extensive damage and financial losses. This attack is part of ongoing efforts by Kyiv’s special forces to disrupt Putin’s ability to fund the conflict in Ukraine.

The “Deep Strike” unit, known for its ability to operate deep behind enemy lines, conducted another attack on a major Moscow power plant, further destabilizing Russia’s energy infrastructure. In a separate incident, drones targeted the Kostroma GRES power plant, triggering a massive fire and forcing Russian air defenses to respond.

Ukraine’s strategic targeting of Russia’s energy infrastructure aims to pressure Moscow to end hostilities and engage in peace negotiations. Recent drone attacks on the Volgograd refinery led to civilian casualties and property damage, highlighting the intensity of the conflict.

In addition to military actions, Ukrainian partisan groups are actively working to undermine Russian forces, with reports of internal unrest and defections among Russian troops. The deteriorating morale among Russian soldiers has led to calls for defection and resistance against the Kremlin’s commands.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s intelligence agency is targeting Russian insiders who collaborate with the Kremlin, particularly those involved in disclosing sensitive information about potential drone targets. This focus on insider threats underscores the complexity of the conflict and the various tactics employed by both sides in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
