Sci-fi enthusiasts were left puzzled by a recent sighting of what seemed to be a UFO hovering near an active volcano. Video footage captured by a webcam showed a glowing object floating above the Popocatepetl crater in Mexico, before swiftly speeding away. The suspected flying saucer appeared to be observing the volcanic activity as smoke and flames billowed from the crater. The unusual event was recorded by monitoring cameras positioned at the base of the volcano last week.
Popocatepetl, standing at an elevation of 17,802 feet (5,426 meters), is among Mexico’s most active volcanoes. Local authorities have not yet commented on the mysterious flying object’s origin. The National Center for Disaster Prevention documented 19 minor eruptions with vapor, gases, and traces of ash on the same day, urging the public to steer clear of the crater and respect the 12-kilometer exclusion zone.
UFO expert Jaime Maussan previously suggested that Popocatepetl might serve as an “inter-dimensional portal” facilitating intergalactic travel. Maussan highlighted the extreme temperatures inside the volcano, making it improbable for any human-made object to enter. He referenced research by the University of Bergen in Norway, revealing the presence of magnetic storms beneath the volcano that could generate X-points, enabling the creation of a Dimensional Portal.
X-points represent areas where Earth’s magnetic field intersects with the Sun’s magnetic field, forming a pathway between the two celestial bodies. Meanwhile, speculation around a government cover-up has emerged following an aircraft crash near Area 51 in Nevada. The incident involved an unidentified aircraft crashing near the classified Groom Lake facility, prompting investigations by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the FBI. UFO enthusiasts have criticized the heightened security measures surrounding the crash site as unwarranted. Flight restrictions were imposed by the FAA in the vicinity of Area 51 for national security reasons, with additional details of the crash remaining undisclosed.
