“Trump Slams Biden, Calls White House Shooting ‘Crime Against Humanity'”

Published:

Former President Donald Trump strongly criticized President Joe Biden’s administration and condemned the shooting of two White House guards as a grave offense. Trump labeled the incident as a “crime against humanity” during a national address following the attack on November 26.

Expressing profound sorrow for the injured guards, Trump emphasized that the shooting was an act of evil, hatred, and terror, affecting the entire nation. He vowed to ensure that the perpetrator, identified as Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, faces severe consequences for his actions.

Trump accused the Biden administration of allowing unvetted foreigners into the country, referencing the suspect’s arrival in September 2021 on undisclosed flights. Notably, Lakanwal had served in the Afghan Army and alongside US Special Forces troops before moving to the US, as revealed by a relative who expressed disbelief at the suspect’s alleged actions.

In response to the assault, Trump announced the dispatch of an additional 500 troops to enhance security in the capital city. He stressed the importance of reevaluating individuals entering the country from Afghanistan and taking necessary steps to remove those who pose a risk to national security.

While an Afghan advocacy group expressed sadness over the attack, they cautioned against unjust treatment of Afghan resettlers in the US following Trump’s statements. Trump reiterated his commitment to ensuring justice for the victims and holding the perpetrator accountable for the “barbaric attack.”
