“Trailer Collision Leaves Three Infants Injured”

Published:

Three young children were swiftly taken to the hospital with severe injuries following a collision between a trailer and a stroller. The infants, aged eight months, 14 months, and 18 months, were inside the stroller when it was hit around 3:15 pm on Monday. Additionally, an 18-year-old woman who was pushing the stroller sustained injuries and needed medical care.

After the incident, the children were initially transported to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and later moved to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. The woman pushing the stroller was also taken to the hospital but was discharged later.

According to Police Scotland, the trailer is believed to have detached from a Mitsubishi Outlander SUV and collided with the stroller on the sidewalk. Authorities have issued an appeal for any information related to the incident.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland confirmed on Tuesday that all three children are receiving treatment for serious injuries at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Sergeant David Kerr from Police Scotland’s road policing unit urged witnesses to come forward, and also requested anyone with dashcam footage from the area to assist in the ongoing investigation.
