Renowned travel influencer Anunay Sood, aged 32, has tragically passed away, as confirmed by his grieving family.
Anunay, a social media personality based in Dubai, had amassed a substantial online following of over 1.4 million on Instagram. He extensively traveled the globe, documenting his adventures in 46 countries. Following his sudden demise during a trip to Las Vegas, an emotional statement was shared on his social media account, although the cause of death remains undisclosed.
The statement conveyed, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Anunay Sood. We seek your understanding and privacy during this challenging period. We kindly urge you to refrain from gathering near personal property. Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace.”
Anunay’s final Instagram post, featuring a moment from Las Vegas with actor Sung Kang of Fast and Furious fame, was posted just the day before. Reflecting on his American excursion, he wrote, “Still in disbelief that I got to spend the weekend in the company of legends and dream machines. Which one would you choose for a ride??”
In response to the family’s announcement, fellow influencer Cameron Biafore, who accompanied Anunay on the Las Vegas trip, expressed deep sorrow over his passing. Biafore remarked, “You were a shining beacon, and I was privileged to have shared that light, even if briefly. Rest peacefully, dear Anunay; your influence and zest for life will forever be cherished in this world.”
The news of Anunay’s demise has left his community in shock, with many taking to social media to express their sorrow and disbelief over the loss. Notably, he was featured in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years, from 2022 to 2024.
In a 2024 interview with Forbes India, Anunay discussed his enthusiasm for content creation, stating, “One must evolve – I never viewed Instagram and similar platforms as my primary income source. It was always secondary, driven by my passion for travel and the joy of sharing it with others.”
