A six-year-old girl sustained a brain injury when a playground ride malfunctioned during a birthday party in Ulan-Ude city, Siberia, Russia. The incident occurred at the Kovboy play center as three girls were on a carousel, and a metal part resembling a tree fell on the girl, causing her to lose consciousness. The other children fled the area.
The Russian Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal investigation into the incident. According to a statement, the girl suffered injuries requiring hospitalization due to a large fragment of the carousel structure falling on her. She was taken to the hospital with a traumatic brain injury and concussion.
In a separate incident, tributes were paid to a 12-year-old boy, Logan Carter, who tragically died after falling from a roundabout at Wharton Recreation Ground in Winsford, Cheshire. Logan, a Liverpool fan, was treated by emergency services but passed away at the scene. It is believed he was thrown from the roundabout, with local claims suggesting an e-bike was used to spin it.
Logan’s family described him as a beloved son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, cousin, and friend with a vibrant personality and a contagious smile. They expressed their deep loss and appreciation for the support received during this difficult time.
