A 15-year-old teenager reportedly stabbed a 15-year-old boy 11 times and also knifed his girlfriend in the chest, as detailed in court proceedings. The accused, also 15 years old and unnamed for legal reasons, allegedly orchestrated a planned assault on the victim in response to a prior incident where his friend had suffered a head injury from a metal pole attack.
Described as a “catalyst,” the previous altercation led the accused to conceal a knife and approach the victim from behind at a bus stop near a convenience store. The accused allegedly carried out multiple stabbings on the boy and also attacked a 14-year-old girl who tried to intervene. The accused faced trial at Liverpool Crown Court, facing charges including attempted murder.
During the trial, CCTV footage was presented showing the accused, then 14 years old, and a friend approaching a shelter in Kirkby on the evening of April 30, both wearing tracksuits with hoods up. The incident unfolded when another boy at the bus stop picked up a bottle and confronted the accused’s friend, leading to the accused circling behind and stabbing the victim.
Prosecutor Arthur Gibson stated that the accused delivered 11 stab wounds to the boy and also stabbed the girl who intervened. Both victims sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized but have since recovered.
