“Son Confesses to Brutal Murder of Mother with Hammer”

A 20-year-old man, Sebastian Van Stockum, was taken into custody after confessing to killing his mother, Laura Williams, near their affluent residence. Van Stockum admitted to using his fists and a hammer in the fatal attack. Police were alerted by a witness who heard a distressing cry for ‘Mama’ coming from the nearby woods.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found Van Stockum covered in blood and took him into custody. Laura sustained severe head injuries, including blunt-force trauma and a cracked skull. Despite efforts to revive her, she tragically succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Van Stockum reportedly acknowledged his involvement in the crime when questioned by officers, admitting to using various weapons in the attack and claiming mental health issues. Laura, a single mother and antique dealer, resided with her son in their $1.9 million New Canaan, Connecticut home before the harrowing incident.

During his court appearance, state attorney Paul Ferencek described the murder as exceptionally violent. Van Stockum’s defense attorney, Philip Russell, expressed shock at the situation, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation before passing judgment.

In a separate incident, Lorenz Kraus confessed to burying his missing parents, Franz and Theresia Kraus, in their backyard during a television interview. Kraus admitted to suffocating his parents and revealed disturbing details about their deaths. Law enforcement had initially been investigating Kraus for financial crimes before discovering the buried remains of his parents.

Kraus’s unexpected confession came after investigators unearthed the bodies and questioned him about the chilling events. The case surrounding the Kraus family continues to unfold as authorities delve deeper into the shocking revelations.
