“Sky Live Discontinuation Leaves Users Disappointed”

Published:

Sky TV users will soon face disappointment as a newly launched product, Sky Live, is set to be discontinued starting next month. Introduced in 2023, Sky Live was praised as a cutting-edge entertainment device designed to revolutionize TV usage.

This gadget, compatible with Sky’s Glass TV, leverages motion sensors and a built-in camera to provide interactive experiences on the large screen. Subscribers paying £6 per month gain access to engaging games like Fruit Ninja, Stingray Karaoke, and Peppa Pig: Jump and Giggle. Additionally, it offers features for fitness enthusiasts, monitoring posture and technique during home workouts.

Moreover, users could utilize Sky Live for making Zoom calls and hosting virtual watch parties with friends and family, including streaming content like Sky Sports through the camera. Despite its innovative functions, Sky Live has not garnered the anticipated popularity, leading to its discontinuation on December 4.

While Sky Live will be phased out, Sky assures users that games like the recently launched Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will still be available without an extra subscription. A Sky representative emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, highlighting recent advancements in the Sky Glass range and broadband services.

The spokesperson added, “The feedback from Sky Live has been instrumental in shaping our future product offerings. Gaming was a standout feature, prompting us to expand our gaming options on Sky Glass and Sky Stream to cater to diverse family preferences, including titles like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”

Affected customers will be notified via email about the discontinuation, refund procedures, and free return shipping for the Sky Live device. Sky aims to concentrate its resources on enhancing product simplicity, content quality, and customer service to better serve its clientele.
