“Sinner Handles Security Incident at Six Kings Slam”

Published:

A security incident occurred at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh when a fan approached world No. 2 tennis player Jannik Sinner on the court. Following a successful match against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Sinner was approached by a young fan who seemed interested in his jacket after the game.

The fan engaged in a brief conversation with Sinner, repeatedly gesturing towards his jacket. Despite the exchange not being captured by microphones, it appeared that the fan was trying to communicate with Sinner. Security quickly intervened, removing the fan from the court so Sinner could leave undisturbed.

Sinner, who had recently withdrawn from the Shanghai Masters due to challenging weather conditions, including extreme heat and humidity, was back in action at the Six Kings Slam. Reflecting on his experience in Shanghai, Sinner attributed his cramps to mental factors but expressed readiness to compete in Riyadh.

At the Six Kings Slam, Sinner made a strong comeback by defeating Tsitsipas and advancing to the semi-finals where he is set to face Novak Djokovic. Looking ahead to the match, Sinner acknowledged the familiarity with Djokovic’s game and emphasized his focus on aggressive play and strong serving.

The tournament in Riyadh has presented unique challenges for players, including the bounce of the court surface. Despite the previous setbacks, Sinner remains optimistic and determined to perform well in the upcoming matches.
