Seattle Storm Overpower Toronto Tempo 90-78

The Seattle Storm, led by Flau’jae Johnson with 20 points and Dominique Malonga scoring 18, secured a 90-78 victory over the undermanned Toronto Tempo in their hometown on Wednesday evening. Jade Melbourne contributed 16 points and seven assists for Seattle, breaking a streak of 14 losses in the last 15 games. Awa Fam and Zia Cooke each added 10 points to the winning effort.

Toronto struggled without their key scorers Marina Mabrey, Brittney Sykes, and Nyara Sabally due to injuries. In response, rookie Kiki Rice shone with a season-best performance, scoring 24 points, while Isabelle Harrison recorded a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Seattle surged in the third quarter, finishing with an 11-4 run to claim a 64-61 lead, which they extended in the fourth quarter with a 9-2 spurt, establishing a 10-point lead.

Looking ahead, the Toronto Tempo will face Las Vegas on Friday night, while the Seattle Storm will host Los Angeles on Sunday.
