The company operating Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, managing 62 venues under various brands, including Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba, initiated the sale process in October 2025 due to declining sales. Potential bidders have until January 9 to submit offers, with FTI Consulting overseeing the sale.
Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective’s sites, although their participation in the bidding remains uncertain. Following a rebranding from Revolution Bars in 2024, The Revel Collective is currently facing financial challenges, with revenues falling by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the last quarter. The company attributes the decline to cost-of-living pressures on its younger clientele and recent government interventions affecting its operations.
Former Pizza Express executive Luke Johnson assumed the role of chairman of The Revel Collective in September, succeeding Keith Edelman. The company previously closed 36 sites as part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court. Despite efforts to cut costs and boost margins, the business continues to struggle with its financial performance.
