Revolut, a financial and tech company, has launched its new mobile service, Revolut Mobile, in the UK market. Early adopters can benefit from attractive incentives, including unlimited 5G data, calls, and texts for just £12.50 per month, significantly undercutting similar plans from other major UK networks like EE and Vodafone, which charge £25 monthly.
Moreover, Revolut’s offer includes a generous 20GB roaming allowance in the EU and the United States at no extra cost, making it ideal for frequent travelers. Users can enjoy seamless connectivity in cities such as Paris, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles without worrying about additional charges, a feature not commonly offered by UK networks, especially for US travel.
In addition to its competitive pricing and roaming benefits, Revolut Mobile provides global messaging through its Messaging Pass, allowing customers in over 80 countries to access low-bandwidth data for messaging platforms like WhatsApp. Users can also link up to three phone numbers to a single plan, simplifying the management of work, personal, and travel lines. Subscribers also receive a complimentary NordVPN membership for secure and private browsing.
The service is currently being rolled out to waitlisted customers, with full public availability expected by January 2026. While Revolut’s entry into the mobile market is ambitious, industry experts caution that success is not guaranteed. Analysts emphasize the importance of strong execution in combining banking services with mobile connectivity, considering the competitive nature of the MVNO market.
Despite the challenges ahead, Revolut remains confident in its ability to compete with established networks like EE, Vodafone, and O2. Hadi Nasrallah, General Manager of Telco at Revolut, expressed the company’s commitment to delivering a unique offering in the industry, stating that Revolut Mobile is more than just a typical mobile service but a disruptive alternative focused on providing innovation, transparency, and user experience excellence.
