Prince Andrew’s Email to Epstein: “In This Together”

Published:

Prince Andrew reportedly reassured Jeffrey Epstein in an email that they were “in this together” despite claiming to have ended their contact. The alleged email exchange, dated February 28, 2011, also mentioned that they would need to overcome the situation. This communication followed the public release of a controversial photo showing Prince Andrew with Virginia Giuffre.

In the email, which was said to be sent from his official account, Prince Andrew supposedly suggested that they would meet again soon and urged Epstein to stay connected. The message, as reported by The Sun, included the prince expressing concern for Epstein and emphasizing their shared predicament.

The email was signed with Prince Andrew’s full royal title, including his status as a Knight of the Garter. Despite facing repercussions and settling a civil lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022, Prince Andrew retains this title.

Virginia Giuffre, previously known as Virginia Roberts, accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was 17. However, Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing. Giuffre was a prominent accuser of Epstein and an advocate for victims of sex trafficking.

During a BBC interview in November 2019, Prince Andrew claimed no recollection of meeting Giuffre and denied the accusations against him. He also stated that he had not witnessed any suspicious behavior from Epstein during his visits to Epstein’s residences.

The backlash from the interview led Prince Andrew to announce his withdrawal from royal duties, expressing sympathy for Epstein’s victims and those seeking closure. Buckingham Palace has been approached for comment on this matter.
