Ottawa has been selected as the host city for this year’s Northern Super League championship game scheduled for November 14th. The highly anticipated match, which will determine the league champion and winner of the Diana B. Matheson Cup, will be held at TD Place.
The playoffs leading up to the championship game will span two weeks, and the complete schedule will be released in the near future. The trophy, named after Canadian soccer icon and NSL co-founder Diana Matheson, symbolizes the growth of professional women’s soccer in Canada.
Leading the NSL standings is Ottawa Rapid FC with a record of 10 wins, 2 losses, and 3 draws. Vancouver Rise FC emerged as the champions in the previous season, marking their victory in the league’s inaugural year.
