“Marks & Spencer Recalls Milk Chocolate Honeycomb Over Peanut Allergy Risk”

Published:

Marks & Spencer has urgently recalled packs of Milk Chocolate Honeycomb due to a potential allergy risk. The High Street retailer took this action as a precautionary measure because some packs may contain undeclared peanuts. Marks & Spencer emphasized that customer safety is their top priority and that they treat all food production issues with great seriousness.

The affected batches have a best before date of May 12, 2026, and a lot number of 5242. People with peanut allergies who purchased this specific product are advised not to consume it and to return it to any Marks & Spencer store for a full refund. The recall only applies to 120g packs with the mentioned date codes and lot numbers; no other M&S products are impacted.

The Food Standards Agency issued a statement confirming the recall and mentioned that Marks & Spencer is reaching out to allergy support organizations to inform their members about the situation. Additionally, Marks & Spencer has placed notices at their point of sale for customers’ awareness.

If you have purchased the affected product and have a peanut allergy, do not consume it; instead, return it to the nearest store for a refund. For further assistance, contact Marks & Spencer at 03330 148555.

In a separate incident, Aldi has withdrawn some tubs of Gianni’s Cheeky Monkey Ice Cream from shelves as it contains undeclared wheat (gluten), posing a potential health risk to individuals with wheat allergies or intolerances. The impacted ice cream tubs are 500ml in size and have a best before date of August 14, 2027.
