“Lucky Duo Scoop £1 Million Each in Premium Bonds Draw”

Published:

In the latest update, December 2025 Premium Bond results were revealed, bringing the news of two fortunate individuals who have each won £1 million. Monthly, two individuals secure the grand prize. Among the December victors is a resident from Norwich, possessing £35,000 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number of 591RD417238 acquired in August 2024. The second £1 million champion resides in Cornwall, holding £20,000 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 615WP633178 purchased in February 2025.

Premium Bonds, managed by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), offer a unique savings opportunity where instead of accruing a fixed interest rate, participants are entered into a monthly prize draw. Prizes vary from £25 to £1 million, though winning is not guaranteed, resulting in some months without any returns on invested Premium Bonds. The majority of prizes awarded each month are smaller sums.

Andrew Westhead, NS&I Retail Director, extended congratulations to the fortunate winners, emphasizing the joy of celebrating Christmas as millionaires. The current prize pool for December includes over six million prizes, with prominent amounts such as £100,000 and £50,000. Premium Bonds remain a favored choice during the festive season, with more than 22 million individuals holding Bonds.

Participants are limited to saving up to £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with each pound invested generating a unique bond number. The odds of winning stand at 22,000 to 1 per £1 bond each month. Winners are notified via email or text by NS&I and can opt to receive the prize as a bank deposit or reinvest in Premium Bonds. Checking for winnings can be done through the NS&I online prize checker or the Premium Bonds prize checker app, with the current prize fund rate set at 3.60%.

The prize fund rate has exhibited a gradual decline recently, impacting the distribution of prizes, resulting in a slight decrease in larger prizes and an increase in smaller prize quantities. Despite this trend, two £1 million prizes continue to be awarded monthly. The most recent adjustment in the prize fund rate occurred in the August 2025 draw, establishing it at 3.60%. The vast popularity of Premium Bonds is evident, with nearly 23 million individuals participating in the scheme.
