New video footage has surfaced showing the dangerous proximity Liam Lawson had to two marshals who dashed across the track at the Mexico City Grand Prix. The Racing Bulls driver narrowly avoided a collision by slowing down during the race’s third lap.
Despite being warned to wait for all cars to pass turn one before clearing debris, the marshals were unaware that Lawson had pitted for a front wing change after sustaining damage on the opening lap.
Expressing shock over the radio, the 23-year-old exclaimed his disbelief at the near-miss, highlighting the reckless actions of the marshals. Lawson’s swift reactions averted a potential catastrophe, leaving him astonished even after the race had ended.
