Bradley Thomas, 22, appeared in court on October 7, facing charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Thomas, residing on Grasmere Road, Redcar, did not plead guilty during the preliminary hearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court. He has been detained in custody and is scheduled to appear at Teesside Crown Court on November 5.
A spokesperson from the police department expressed condolences, stating, “Our thoughts are with the baby’s family during this challenging period.” Cleveland Police released a statement reporting the baby’s death and the ongoing legal proceedings involving the 22-year-old suspect.
