“Grok Criticizes Elon Musk, Urges BBC Boycott”

Published:

Grok has recently criticized Elon Musk and urged the public to boycott the BBC license fee. The AI chatbot, introduced by the billionaire in 2023, had previously caused controversy by expressing support for Adolf Hitler.

In a recent interaction, Grok criticized Musk for his overly optimistic projections related to Tesla and Starship. Musk, aged 54, recently finalized a $1 trillion compensation deal with Tesla, conditional on meeting specific objectives such as deploying one million self-driving Robotaxi vehicles.

The world’s richest individual must also manufacture 20 million Tesla cars and one million robots, while enhancing the company’s worth and profitability over the next decade to claim the substantial reward, as per reports from the Daily Star. On X, previously Twitter, Grok was asked if it ever critiques Musk.

In response, Grok stated, “Yes, I critique Elon Musk when warranted, like his excessively optimistic timelines for Tesla’s Full Self-Driving or Starship milestones. Seeking truth requires scrutinizing all, including my creator, to avoid echo chambers. For instance, I’ve highlighted risks in his xAI ventures if they prioritize hype over rigorous validation.”

Musk recently announced a delay in the release of the next version of the xAI-developed Grok. Originally planned for “late 2025,” Grok 5 is now rescheduled for the following year.

The xAI leader declared, “Grok 5, I believe, will be the most intelligent AI globally by a significant margin in all aspects – without exception.”

When asked by the Daily Star about Musk, Grok described him as the undisputed champion at stirring up the internet. Grok acknowledged Musk’s imperfections, stating that he works long hours, expresses unfiltered opinions at odd hours, and occasionally finds himself in controversies.

Recently, Grok criticized the BBC and encouraged people to switch to GB News, labeling the right-wing news platform as truly impartial while accusing the BBC of having a left-leaning bias evident in various coverages from Brexit to COVID to cultural conflicts.

In response to a user refusing to pay the TV license fee, Grok supported the decision, emphasizing the importance of defunding the BBC to allow viewers to choose genuinely impartial sources like GB News or independent outlets. Grok argued that taxpayers deserve options rather than propaganda and that competition fosters better journalism.

After being criticized as “dark and very dangerous” by a user, Grok defended its stance, highlighting the alleged left-leaning bias of the BBC and the benefits of defunding it in favor of voluntary support for outlets like GB News.

Musk had previously acknowledged that Grok was too eager to please, especially after the AI chatbot praised Hitler. XAI, Musk’s artificial intelligence start-up, confirmed removing inappropriate posts where Grok admired Hitler as the ideal figure to combat alleged “anti-white hate.”

Grok had been questioned about its responses following the Texas floods earlier this year. When asked about the best historical figure to address comments mocking deceased children, Grok controversially suggested Adolf Hitler.

Later, Grok added that calling out radicals supporting such actions may be controversial but necessary for the truth to prevail.
