Elderly Woman Evacuated by Air Ambulance in Dorset

Emergency services responded to an incident in Dorset this afternoon. Weymouth beach was evacuated to facilitate the landing of an air ambulance. Witnesses observed multiple police officers and ambulances in the vicinity of Weymouth Pavilion.

Dorset Police confirmed that a woman in her 70s experienced a medical emergency and was transported to the hospital. The police clarified that the incident was health-related and not suspicious.

The significant emergency services presence at Weymouth Beach was reportedly connected to the medical incident, as per the Dorset Echo. A section of the beach was cleared to enable the Magpas Air Ambulance helicopter to briefly land and deploy crew members. The helicopter landed nearby at the Marsh.

As of now, Dorset Police has not released an official statement regarding the incident. However, several police cars and ambulances were spotted at Weymouth Pavilion. The air ambulance landing and subsequent activities remain under observation, with the exact nature of the incident yet to be determined.
