“Darts Sensation Luke Littler Challenges World Rankings”

Published:

Gary Anderson’s opinion differs from the rankings when it comes to Luke Littler’s status as the best player globally. Littler’s rise began at the 2024 Darts World Championships, and since then, he has dominated the darts scene by winning prestigious titles like the UK Open, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, and the Premier League.

Despite his remarkable achievements, Littler trails behind Luke Humphries in the world rankings. Humphries, with earnings totaling £1,769,000 in the past year, currently holds the top spot, with Littler close behind at £1,697,000. However, this could change as the upcoming world championships approach.

When asked about the world’s best player, Gary Anderson pointed to Luke Humphries as the undisputed number one. Anderson also named Michael van Gerwen as the top player in Europe outside the UK.

While Littler aims for the top spot, he remains focused on his performance and acknowledges Humphries’ current standing. Littler expressed determination to continue striving for the world number one position, emphasizing the need to maintain pressure on his competitors.

With the world championship fast approaching at Alexandra Palace starting on December 15, Littler aims to build momentum. The final opponents he will face remain unknown until the qualifiers are confirmed later this month, with the draw scheduled shortly after.

In other news, Sky has unveiled discounted prices for its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the upcoming season, providing access to over 1,400 live matches, including 215 live Premier League games, which marks a significant increase from the previous season.
