“Cornwall Paramilitary Group Threatens Celebrity Chefs”

Published:

Jamie Oliver recently revealed that his restaurant was targeted by terrorists from Cornwall who issued a bomb threat. The renowned chef disclosed that The Cornish National Liberation Army (CNLA), a nationalist paramilitary group advocating for Cornwall’s independence, directed threats towards celebrities in the area. Oliver recounted the experience of facing death threats and needing bomb squad protection when he opened his restaurant Fifteen in Newquay in 2006.

The Cornwall National Liberation Army, a lesser-known group, made violent threats against chefs like Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein, vowing to carry out acts of vandalism and arson against English-owned businesses in Cornwall. This incident follows a situation where a man was found dead in a Derbyshire village, prompting the deployment of a bomb squad and evacuations from around 50 homes.

Derbyshire Police responded to the man’s sudden death in Horsley Woodhouse, leading to the closure of Church Lane due to concerns over potentially hazardous items in a shed. However, after examination by the Explosive Ordnance Division, no further risk to the public was identified. The sheds contained items related to legally held firearms, which were safely disposed of. Authorities confirmed that the man’s death was not suspicious, and his family has been notified, with arrangements being made for the coroner’s report.
