Yvonne Ejim contributed 19 points to Canada’s 3-0 record, with Syla Swords adding 17 points to the scoreboard. Mariana Valenzuela scored 17 points for Mexico.
Canada is slated to face New Zealand in the semifinals on Saturday, while Mexico will take on Brazil. The tournament’s culmination is scheduled for Sunday, with the champion securing a spot in one of the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in February 2028.
