In the quest for a missing British man who disappeared in Spain, a body has been discovered. Marc Tulloch Hewson was last seen in the Los Balcones area of Torrevieja on September 20. Despite living in the Orihuela Costa region, he was taken to Torrevieja Hospital two days before going missing and was discharged in the early hours of September 19.
Reports indicate that Hewson, whose mental health was deteriorating, was last sighted collecting bottles in a carrier bag in Los Balcones. He was barefoot and had no identification on him. Authorities recovered a body from the water at the fishing port of Aguilas in Murcia, believed to be his, with no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
A formal plea was issued by Marc’s wife, Catherine, on October 7, with his sister Fiona Crowther assisting in the search effort. Following the discovery of his body, Fiona expressed gratitude for the support received during the search. Kelsey Johnson, also involved in the search, thanked everyone for their assistance and kind words, acknowledging the unfortunate outcome while highlighting the support provided to Hewson’s family and friends.
