“Apple Services Soar: Record-Breaking Year in 2025”

Published:

Apple’s reputation for its MacBook laptops, iPad tablets, and iconic iPhones is well-known, but the company’s services are also gaining significant popularity. Recently, Apple reported a ‘record-breaking’ year with a surge in users engaging with its audio, TV streaming, and news platforms.

Apple Music, now accessible on both iOS and Android devices, experienced its most successful year in 2025, setting new records for both listenership and new subscribers. This growth was supported by various updates to the streaming service, such as Lyrics Translation and AutoMix, offering users a personalized DJ experience on the go.

In addition to the music sector, Apple TV’s viewership has seen a sharp increase, with December statistics indicating a 36% rise in user engagement with shows like Slow Horses and The Studio compared to the previous year. Apple TV has expanded its content library with additions like the F1 film featuring Brad Pitt and the highly-rated drama Pluribus.

The App Store also had a strong year, attracting over 850 million average weekly users globally. During the period between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, the platform experienced a record number of visitors, leading to a surge in customer spending on digital goods and services.

Apple Podcasts saw a significant boost as well, achieving record numbers of listeners, plays, and subscribers in 2025. Other updates to Apple services included the expansion of Apple Fitness+ to more regions and the addition of over 50 new games to Apple Arcade.

Furthermore, Apple enhanced its Share Item Location feature in Find My by partnering with 27 additional airlines, totaling 36 airlines in all. This feature enables secure sharing of an AirTag’s or Find My network accessory’s location with an airline’s customer service, significantly reducing lost luggage incidents.

Apple Maps also expanded its Detailed City Experience to include new locations like New Orleans, Singapore, and Monaco, offering 3D landmarks, including a custom F1 Monaco Grand Prix experience.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, commented on the remarkable growth and global expansion of Apple services in 2025. He emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing users’ daily experiences through services like Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple News, as well as essential tools like Apple Pay and iCloud. Cue highlighted the enthusiastic response from customers in 2025, whether through app downloads, watching new shows, listening to music, or shopping securely.
