“Anthony Joshua Vows Knockout Against Jake Paul in Miami Showdown”

Published:

Anthony Joshua has made it clear that he will not hold back against Jake Paul, stating that only a knockout will satisfy his desire for aggression. The former heavyweight champion is set to face the YouTuber in what is expected to be a one-sided match in Miami on December 19, with Joshua earning up to £70 million for what is anticipated to be a showcase fight for the Olympic gold medalist.

Joshua, who will be trained by Oleksandr Usyk’s team for the bout, emphasized that simply winning is not enough for him; he aims to secure a knockout victory. “It’s not just about beating him; I need to knock him out,” Joshua said confidently.

“I am determined to inflict damage on him both physically and mentally. I am focused on proving my superiority in the ring and will continue to do so until the end of my career. My goal is to enter that ring and execute my plan. I intend to cause him harm; I want to hurt him significantly during the fight,” Joshua added.

“I plan to apply pressure and assert my dominance. I will deliver powerful punches and introduce him to techniques in boxing that he may not have encountered before. I aim to expose him to a different level of boxing that he has yet to experience.”

While acknowledging Paul’s dedication to the sport with 13 professional fights since 2020, Joshua commended his opponent’s commitment. “Jake is a serious contender. When I started boxing, I had a vision, and within three years, I was competing in the Olympics,” Joshua reflected. “He has been in this sport for five years. I was once the underdog with nobody believing in me after three years. One should never underestimate anyone.”

On the other hand, Paul expressed his readiness to go to extreme lengths to achieve what he believes would be a groundbreaking upset in boxing history. “No one imagined we would reach this point when I first stepped into the boxing ring,” Paul remarked.

“Many doubt my ability to win, but they will be in for a surprise. I am confident in my power and timing. It’s the unexpected shots that make the difference, and I specialize in surprising knockouts; he needs to be cautious. I predict a knockout in the fourth or fifth round. I am prepared to go to any length to secure victory in this fight.”
