“Anthony Joshua Fully Committed to Jake Paul Fight in Miami”

Published:

Anthony Joshua is fully committed to his upcoming bout with Jake Paul and has made early preparations by traveling to Miami to acclimate to the time difference.

Having last fought in a dramatic knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024, Joshua had been sidelined in 2025 due to injury. However, following successful elbow surgery, the former unified heavyweight champion is now back in training for his return to the ring.

The announcement of Joshua facing off against Paul took many by surprise. The anticipated match is set to take place on December 19 in Miami, Florida, and will consist of eight three-minute rounds with both fighters using 10oz gloves.

Despite being the heavy favorite, Joshua is leaving nothing to chance in his preparation for the fight. Eddie Hearn, his boxing promoter, confirmed Joshua’s sharp form in Miami, emphasizing his seriousness and dedication to the upcoming showdown.

The heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is scheduled to be streamed live on Netflix on December 19. Fans can access the fight for free with Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, the lowest price ever offered for Sky TV.

Hearn revealed that Joshua has been instructed to weigh no more than 245lb for the fight, a target that seems achievable without major weight cuts, contrary to initial concerns during negotiations.

In an interview, Hearn disclosed a discrepancy in Joshua’s reported weight, highlighting the negotiation process and the expectations surrounding the bout. The fight is expected to commence around 11pm local time in Miami, likely to cater to the American audience, with the event broadcast live on Netflix.
