“Allegations of Dementia: Trump Deploys National Guard to Democratic Cities”

Published:

President Donald Trump faces allegations of dementia amid criticism over his deployment of National Guard troops to Democratic cities. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has raised concerns about Trump’s mental state, calling it a sign of deteriorating health. The tension escalated as National Guard troops from Texas were being sent to Chicago. Critics argue that Trump’s military intervention is focused solely on Democrat-controlled areas, citing a lack of action in other regions.

Approximately 200 Texas National Guard soldiers and 300 Illinois National Guard members have been deployed in Chicago, a move described by Pritzker as an “invasion.” Pritzker questioned Trump’s mental acuity, claiming the President lacks up-to-date knowledge and is fixated on certain ideas. This surge in federal law enforcement in Illinois mirrors similar actions taken in Baltimore and Memphis.

Trump previously dispatched National Guard troops to Los Angeles following earlier deployments in Washington DC. Concerns about Trump’s health have surfaced before, with speculations arising during his brief absence from public view this summer. Reports of bruising on his hands further fueled speculation, with the White House attributing it to a chronic condition and routine medical practices.
