“Boris Johnson Embraces AI for Book Writing, Praised by Chatbot”

Published:

British politician Boris Johnson has revealed that he utilizes artificial intelligence technology to assist in the writing of his books. The former Prime Minister expressed his fondness for AI and specifically mentioned his admiration for ChatGPT, an AI chatbot, during an interview. Johnson shared that he finds it gratifying when ChatGPT compliments him by calling him “clever” and “brilliant.”

In a conversation with AI Arabiya’s English channel, Johnson emphasized his enthusiasm for AI, particularly for ChatGPT, which he described as “fantastic.” He mentioned using the technology to aid in the creation of various books by posing questions and receiving responses that praise his intellect and abilities.

Transitioning from his political career to writing, Johnson has strived to maintain visibility through newspaper columns and TV appearances following his resignation in 2022. Despite receiving a substantial advance for his book “Unleashed,” detailing his tenure at No10, Johnson faced disappointment as a gut health recipe guide outsold his work. This setback occurred despite Johnson’s effort to promote his memoir through an extensive tour.

The former journalist faced criticism during his time in office for allegedly prioritizing personal projects over official responsibilities, such as missing crucial Covid meetings to work on a book about Shakespeare. Reports indicate that Johnson signed a lucrative deal in 2015 to write the Shakespeare book. Former colleague Dominic Cummings later claimed that Johnson grew disinterested in governing shortly after winning the 2019 election, leading him to focus on writing ventures.

Known for his literary endeavors, Johnson has authored numerous books, including a biographical work on Winston Churchill titled “The Churchill Factor,” as confirmed by Harper Collins. Despite the controversies surrounding his dual roles as a writer and a public figure, Johnson remains actively engaged in both realms.
