After a Minneapolis shooting, Donald Trump and his supporters attempted to portray the victim, Renee Nicole Good, as a “domestic terrorist”. However, recent footage has cast doubt on this narrative. Good, a mother of three, was shot by ICE agents after dropping her son at school. The 37-year-old tragically died after being shot three times and crashing her car into a parked vehicle.
Despite efforts by the White House to defend the ICE agent involved, newly released bodycam footage presented a different perspective. The video showed the agent filming Good’s face and license plate before she calmly responded to him. Good then moved her car to allow other vehicles to pass as the officers continued to question her.
The footage revealed that Good did not aim her vehicle at the ICE agent but turned away from him before being shot. The agent was heard making derogatory remarks towards Good after the shooting. This video contradicted earlier claims by Trump’s team, sparking outrage in a city still reeling from past tragedies.
Trump and his allies had previously criticized Good’s actions, with some suggesting she intentionally targeted the ICE agent. However, those close to Good described her as a loving Christian and devoted family member. The video evidence challenged the narrative put forth by Trump’s supporters, highlighting the tragic circumstances surrounding Good’s death.
