Apple has introduced its newest lineup of iPhones. The company showcased the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air during its annual event at its California headquarters. Pre-orders for these models will begin on Friday, September 12 at 1 pm, with availability starting on September 19.
Various retailers, including Sky Mobile, EE, Mobiles.co.uk, Vodafone, and Three, have confirmed they will carry the new devices, although prices are yet to be disclosed. Customers will also have the option to purchase the phones directly from Apple and Amazon starting September 12.
The standout addition to the lineup is the iPhone Air, which is being promoted as the thinnest iPhone ever. It weighs 165g and measures just 5.1mm thick. Crafted with a Grade 5 titanium frame made from 80% recycled titanium, Apple claims it is both strong and aesthetically pleasing.
The iPhone Air features a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display with a durable Ceramic Shield on both sides, making it four times more crack-resistant and three times better scratch-resistant than the iPhone 16. It is powered by the latest A19 Pro chip, ensuring smooth performance for demanding tasks.
The device offers improved battery life, capable of up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge and quick charging to 50% in just 30 minutes. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 48MP Fusion camera system and an 8MP Centre Stage front camera for high-resolution images.
Apple TV+ will be offered free with a seven-day trial, allowing users to stream popular shows. Additional features include iOS 26 out of the box, a dynamic lock screen, call hold assist, and call screening. The iPhone Air comes in storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with color choices of Sky Blue, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Space Black.
