“EE Introduces Data Parachute in New SIM Plans”

Published:

EE has introduced new SIM plans to address the common issue of running out of data while on the move. The new pay-as-you-go SIMs from EE come with a feature called “Data Parachute,” which automatically provides users with 1GB of free data if they unexpectedly run out.

According to EE, the Data Parachute feature aims to keep customers connected by offering a temporary data boost to help them stay in touch with friends, use navigation apps, and have some breathing space until they can top up their data.

Starting at £10 per month, these new plans offer various benefits including data rollover, which carries over unused data to the next month, and free data boosts to increase customers’ allowances. Additionally, EE pay-as-you-go customers have access to the 5G network for improved performance and faster speeds.

Here is a breakdown of the pricing for the new plans:
– £10 for 20GB
– £15 for 75GB
– £20 for 150GB
– £30 for 200GB
– £35 for Unlimited

While EE’s Data Parachute feature sets it apart, other providers like SMARTY and Giffgaff offer competitive deals as well. SMARTY currently provides 80GB for £8 per month or Unlimited data for £20, while Giffgaff offers 75GB for £10 per month and 60GB for £13 per month.

It is advisable for consumers to compare different deals and select a plan based on their specific data needs to avoid overspending.
