Kory Russell received immediate medical attention on-site before being taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The cause of his death will be determined following a post-mortem examination. The organisers of the marathon expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to Kory’s family and friends. The Royal Parks Half Marathon, which took place on October 12, involves a 13.1-mile route through four of London’s Royal Parks. With around 16,000 participants, it is the largest half marathon in Britain by attendance.
