A tragic incident unfolded when a young boy fatally stabbed his mother following a dispute between them. The nine-year-old child allegedly attacked his 37-year-old mother after an argument over his behavior, as reported by the police.
Witnesses recounted the heartbreaking scene where the mother, Caline Arruda dos Santos, asked her son for a final hug before he stabbed her in the abdomen. Prior to the fateful confrontation, Caline had reportedly instructed her son to stop playing in the street.
The boy, hiding a knife up his sleeve, approached his mother and stabbed her as she stood at the door with her eldest son. Despite her injuries, Caline managed to utter emotional words to her son before being rushed to the hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her wounds.
Due to the boy’s age, being under 12, he was not taken into custody by the police as he cannot be prosecuted by the Children’s Court. Currently, he is under the care of a relative of the victim, who revealed that the boy seems unaware of the gravity of his actions.
The incident occurred in Parelheiros, south of Sao Paolo, and is being investigated by the Civil Police. This tragic event comes in the wake of another distressing case where a teenager was charged with the murder of her mother and stepfather in the US.
