Jordan Wilson, 29, was viciously attacked by a family friend’s Boerboel over three years ago. The dog bit off her entire nose, causing extensive injuries and excruciating pain.
Following the incident, Jordan has endured 16 surgeries to reconstruct her facial features, including nasal reconstruction using forehead tissue to craft a new nose. Despite the challenges, Jordan is beginning to regain her confidence. She expressed gratitude for the support from her loved ones, noting that she is gradually starting to resemble her former self.
Reflecting on the life-altering event, Jordan acknowledged the shift in her perspective on beauty and life’s priorities. Despite the trauma, Jordan holds mixed feelings towards the dog responsible for the attack. She believes that the dog’s actions, though severe, may not warrant euthanasia. Jordan emphasized that the incident has made her more cautious around animals, especially when her children are present.
Jordan’s recovery process involved intricate surgeries to reconstruct her nose and restore sensation to the affected areas. She expressed amazement at the body’s resilience in healing and adapting to the changes. Looking ahead, Jordan anticipates several more surgeries to refine the shape of her nose further.
