Cove UK, the overseeing company of a series of holiday parks in the UK, has gone into administration. This development affects a total of 11 sites, with eight of them operated by Argyll Holidays, which Cove UK acquired for £100 million in 2022. The remaining holiday parks impacted are Solway Holiday Park, Gwel an Mor Resort, and Springwood Holiday Park. Administrators are currently evaluating options for selling the business and have contacted owners to inform them of the situation.
If you have a reservation at any of these resorts, it is advised to reach out to the site manager. The list of resorts includes:
– Argyll Holidays
– Solway Holiday Park
– Gwel an Mor Resort
– Springwood Holiday Park
Seal Bay Resort in West Sussex is unaffected and remains open as usual. Alvarez & Marsal Europe has been appointed to manage the administration process for Cove Communities Holiday Park UK Holdco Limited (HPUK) and its subsidiaries.
The administrators stated, “Our primary goal is to ensure a seamless transition and maintain operational stability across the parks. We are committed to minimizing any disruptions in day-to-day activities. Owners, residents, and holidaymakers should not experience any significant impact and are encouraged to contact site managers with any inquiries.”
A spokesperson for Cove UK commented, “Administrators have been assigned to Cove Communities Holiday Park HoldCo Limited and its subsidiaries, impacting several holiday parks in the UK. Seal Bay, our flagship resort under Cove UK, is not part of the administration process and continues to operate normally for our guests and owners. Our focus remains on serving our customers and executing our long-term strategy. We are grateful for the ongoing support from our employees, owners, and customers.”
