“Tragic Deaths of Two Young Children in Stafford”

A tragic incident in Stafford has led to the identification of two young children, Meraj Ul Zahra, aged two, and Abdul Momin Alfaateh, three, who were found lifeless with injuries in a residence on Corporation Street. The children were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have notified their next of kin, who are receiving support from trained officers.

A 43-year-old woman from the Stafford area, taken into custody on suspicion of murder, remains detained as investigations continue. A police cordon remains active in Corporation Street as part of the ongoing inquiry.

Staffordshire Police has referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to previous police involvement, as per standard procedure. Local resident Luke Browne, a 61-year-old book shop owner, expressed sorrow over the tragedy, emphasizing the pain of children’s deaths. He described the neighborhood as supportive and kind.
