A young man, aged 21, tragically lost his life in a car accident in Northern Ireland, according to his family. Thomas Lagan passed away on Friday after a collision in Cookstown, County Tyrone, involving a grey Seat Leon and a grey Volkswagen Bora. Thomas, who was driving the Volkswagen, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Described as a “gentle giant” with an outstanding work ethic and known for his kindness and warmth, Thomas was employed by J and B Engineering. The company expressed deep sadness over his passing in a heartfelt Facebook post, acknowledging his positive impact on their team and extending condolences to his family, colleagues, and friends.

Various tributes have poured in for Thomas Lagan, praising him as a kind-hearted individual. Inspector Cherith Adair of the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit reported on the accident involving the two vehicles on Pomeroy Road. The road, previously closed for investigation, has since reopened, with authorities urging witnesses or individuals with relevant digital evidence to come forward to assist in the ongoing inquiry.
