“Donald Trump’s Granddaughter Kai Set for LPGA Tour Debut”

Published:

Kai Trump, the granddaughter of US President Donald Trump, has revealed her upcoming debut on the LPGA Tour scheduled for later this year. The Annika Driven By Gainbridge event will be held at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida in November, marking Kai’s first appearance on the LPGA Tour and serving as the penultimate tour event of the year, providing a platform for emerging golf talents.

During the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, New York, in September, Kai, 18, joined her grandfather, Donald, where Team Europe secured a 15-13 victory over Team USA. At the event, she received a customized gift from Whoop, a sponsor exclusive to Team USA members, staff, and Whoop personnel.

With a prize fund of $3.25 million (£2.46 million), The Annika event prompted Kai to pause her studies at the University of Miami to participate. Kai shared the news of her LPGA Tour debut on social media, expressing excitement about competing at a professional level and thanking Pelican Golf Club for the opportunity.

Ranked 979th on The Universal Golf Rankings among junior girls, Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, is recognized as a rising star in golf. She boasts over six million followers on social media and recently launched a brand focused on sports apparel and lifestyle for young women. Ricki Lasky, LPGA’s chief tour business and operations officer, emphasized the importance of sponsor invitations in showcasing emerging talents like Kai to diverse audiences, particularly among younger fans.

Kai’s participation at The Annika follows her previous competition at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in March, where she finished last among 24 players. The event in Florida will feature top golfers such as Charley Hull and defending champion Nelly Korda, adding to the competitive challenge for Kai as she progresses in her golf career.
