Virgin Media is enhancing its TV platform with the introduction of three new bonus channels, providing viewers with additional drama, comedy, and sci-fi content at no extra cost. This upgrade, facilitated by Rakuten, includes Rakuten TV Drama on Ch462, featuring popular movies like The Big Short and Gosford Park. Additionally, viewers can enjoy Rakuten TV Comedy on Ch463, showcasing films such as Big Momma’s House and The Internship, and Rakuten TV: Sci Fi on Ch464, offering a variety of otherworldly content.
All these new channels are automatically accessible to Virgin TV 360 and Flex customers without any additional steps required. The channels are integrated into Virgin Media’s TV guide and can be easily located using voice control.
David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the launch of these streaming channels, emphasizing the value they bring to customers. With this addition, Virgin TV customers now have access to a total of 40 FAST channels, broadening their entertainment options. While a subscription fee is necessary for Virgin Media TV access, the enriched channel lineup surpasses what is available through free services.
